Danuri

South Korea’s Danuri probe was launched in 05/08/22 entering lunar orbit the following December. Two instruments are used that have imaged the surface with enough detail to view evidence of Apollo.

The ‘Shadowcam’ probe is aimed at revealing details in dark regions. Apollo sites were imaged under Earthshine conditions using this instrument. Data for those images can be found here and here, and as each image has its own page of metadata, I’ll just supply a link to that rather than filenames.

The Lunar Terrain Imager (LUTI) instrument is capable of 5m per pixel, and data can be found here. Calibrated files will be used in preference to RAW as the XML files show correct coordinates and some of the vertical banding caused by the imaging process is removed, but they all show the same thing. RAW files are used if there are data issues with the calibrated version. .img and .png versions are available, but there is little (if anything) to choose between them in terms of quality, so the images are based on the .png format.
